A dragging corner makes a door difficult to open and close.
Door catching on floor.
The dragging door corner can scrape the floor or threshold.
Houses settle over time which often causes a door to sag inside its frame.
You can carefully pry up the doorstop with a thin pry bar and re nail to fit the warped door.
The door stop is the vertical strip of wood that runs down the center of the door casing which serves to stop the door from swinging any farther.
Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws in the top hinge on the door and frame.
I also made sure there is spare space between the top of the door and the frame when it was closed so it can still be closed even when it s a bit higher.
After putting the door back the pieces of wire inside the hinges made it a bit higher and it stopped catching on the floor.
When your door opens only part way and scrapes on the floor not allowing it to open fully don t rush for the plane to remove part of the bottom of the door without trying.
